About The Position

TRP Construction Group, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Haltom City, Texas, is a leading provider of safety-critical and highly regulated roadway marking and traffic control solutions. They primarily serve state and local government end-customers, either directly or through general contractors. TRP's core offering focuses on recurring maintenance projects to maintain the safety of America’s roadways. The Company has operations in Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas. They are currently seeking an experienced General Mechanic to join their team at a large and growing highway line striping company based in Orlando/Sanford, FL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, striping equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems. This role supports field operations by ensuring their fleet and equipment remain safe, reliable, and job-ready.

Requirements

Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, striping equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems
Mechanical experience with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks, striping machines, and related equipment
Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
Work closely with operations to minimize equipment downtime
Keep a clean, organized, and orderly shop and work area at all times
