Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education.
- 2+ years of Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or Industrial Maintenance experience desired.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read measuring instruments and work with close tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing, food production, packaging, automotive, steel, paper, plastics, chemical processing, or similar industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment used in metal packaging production.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical equipment and production machinery.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime.
- Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, chains, gears, belts, conveyors, pumps, and other mechanical components.
- Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges with tolerances up to .0010.
- Perform equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability.
