About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is the fastest-growing rental business in North America, seeking a Mechanic. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment safely and efficiently to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
- Fluency in both English & French is required.
- The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- Proficiency in English is necessary to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues across North America, respond to English inquiries and ensure clear internal collaboration with our team.
