About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team and utilize their mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high-speed coater line. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying all mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using precision measuring tools and working with close tolerances up to .0010. You will also collaborate with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to pass a mechanics test
- Desire to operate and maintain Silgan's coater lines
Responsibilities
- Utilize your mechanical knowledge in maintaining a high speed coater line
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all mechanical systems
- Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances up to .0010
- Work with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Perform and document quality checks and measurements on Silgan's coater lines
