About The Position

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all vehicles and ground support equipment at the AAR facility. This role requires performing assigned duties in a safe and timely manner, coordinating with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to set priorities for equipment repair, and reporting any suspected abuse of equipment. The position also involves developing and implementing new ideas to improve processes, maintaining a positive attitude, and demonstrating strong work ethic and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License required.
• Computer experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Experience in the repair of automotive and diesel engines, hydraulic and airbrake systems, single and multi-axle vehicles, transmissions, hydraulic systems for forklifts and man lifts and electrical systems.
• Ability to develop and implement new ideas to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to set priorities of equipment repair.
• Perform assigned duties in a safe and timely manner.
• Report any suspected abuse of equipment to Vehicle Maintenance Foreman.
• All other duties as assigned.
