This Mechanic Trainee position is within the Aggregates Line of Business. The role involves assisting with troubleshooting, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. The trainee will perform basic repairs and component replacements under the guidance of experienced mechanics, support routine preventive maintenance tasks, and learn to safely use necessary tools and diagnostic instruments. Participation in shift handoffs, safety checks, and housekeeping is also expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Interest in developing mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair skills.
• Ability to follow direction, learn new processes, and apply mechanical concepts.
• Commitment to working safely around heavy equipment and industrial environments.
• Strong problem-solving approach and willingness to contribute to team goals.
• Reliability in meeting shift expectations, including 2nd shift schedule requirements.
• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities
