About The Position

Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $35.31/ hr. Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 3rd shift 12:00 am to 10:30 am. Earn 1 week of PTO after 90 days of employment and enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes our very own employee resorts. R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Lumberton, NC Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment
• Preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts
• Maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location
