About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Pembroke Pines, FL Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 125lbs
• Work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Handle major repairs.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
• Perform welding (depending on location).
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts.
• Other duties as required by management.
