Requirements

  • Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with possession of the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed or equivalent.
  • A valid Pennsylvania Class 4 or Class 7 Inspection Mechanic Certification.
  • One year of experience or training in the repair or maintenance of diesel engines.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Guide mechanics in planning, completing, and reviewing maintenance and repair work
  • Monitor inspections, repair methods, and accuracy of work orders and parts usage
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop environment while promoting strong safety practices
  • Assist with diagnosing complex equipment issues and demonstrate repair techniques
  • Purchase parts, track inventory, and ensure needed tools and materials are available
