GryphClaw Customs is a growing company focused on classic car restoration, custom builds, and designing innovative mobile camera systems. We are seeking a versatile Mechanic & Shop Specialist who is passionate about keeping a wide variety of equipment running. This role involves hands-on repairs, shop organization, and potential growth opportunities in fabrication, welding, and electrical systems.
Requirements
- Solid mechanical background, either from a professional shop or extensive DIY experience.
- Understanding of how engines, transmissions, and brakes function.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on high 'up-time' and taking initiative.
- Pride in high-quality work and a sharp eye for detail.
- Hunger to grow skills and learn new trades.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs.
- Comfortable in a demanding, hands-on shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of machinery including trucks, cars, tractors, and lawn mowers.
- Perform engine work, suspension repairs, brake servicing, and routine preventative maintenance.
- Assist in setting up shop basics, including tool maintenance, inventory organization, and workflow system creation.
- Engage in vehicle projects and prep, including body prep, rust removal, and sourcing/testing parts.
- Receive training in custom welding and metal fabrication for frame modification and component building.
- Assist with low-voltage electrical systems, such as dashboard wiring and assembly of surveillance camera units.
