About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Mechanic Recruiter in our Wilmington Service Center office. As a mechanic Recruiter, you will be responsible for recruitment and employment processing and will remotely support multiple hiring managers and regions throughout the company.

Requirements

• Previous experience as heavy truck or trailer mechanic or experience in recruiting this field preferred.
• Recruiting experience required if no heavy truck mechanic experience.
• Must be flexible, and dependable.
• Must be able to travel when needed.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must have a positive, TEAM mindset.

Nice To Haves

• This position requires a proactive recruiting approach. The HR Mechanic Recruiter should continuously develop relationships and candidate pipelines, particularly in locations where qualified diesel technicians and mechanics are difficult to find.
• Success in this role will be measured by the recruiter's ability to provide hiring managers with qualified candidates, reduce time-to-fill, maintain strong candidate communication, and support the company's long-term mechanic staffing needs.
• Some travel will be required to attend recruiting events, visit company locations, and support other hiring initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Source, recruit, interview, and hire candidates in a very high-volume and demanding environment.
• Accurately reports on status of filling positions, identifies hiring barriers, implements plan to resolve, escalates issues not resolved timely and is responsible for staffing goals.
• Reviews applications/resumes to match prospective employee's work history, education, job skills and salary requirements with our current job openings.
• Other duties as assigned by the HR Recruitment Manager.
• Setup interviews and complete employment offer.
