About The Position
Mechanic duties include maintaining a variety of equipment within the facility. Inspect, diagnose, fix, and rebuild as necessary. Implement preventative maintenance practices.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, transmission, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in these systems using schematics, drawings, operator inputs.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the marine, or steel fabrication industry.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain the following mobile equipment: Forklifts, semi-trucks, trailers, crawler cranes, UTV, hydraulic and pneumatic lifting buggies, transfer carts, and aerial lifts.
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to limit breakdowns on equipment.
- Determine parts required for repairs and replacement.
