About The Position

Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Mechanic Maintenance Tech to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems safely and efficiently throughout the facility. The role focuses primarily on preventative and mechanical maintenance and requires basic knowledge of machine repair. The position includes openings on day and night shifts, with 12-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of plant experience.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
• Basic mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Minimal electrical knowledge.
• Ability to use a meter and complete basic measurements.
• Complete knowledge of standard operating procedures.

Nice To Haves

• May require CPR and first aid training.
• Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and confined-space training.

Responsibilities

• Complete mechanical repairs and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machinery and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
• Enter data into the maintenance system accurately and on time.
• Perform basic electrical work needed to work safely in the maintenance field.
