About The Position

Mechanic/technician to perform work of repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles and equipment. This role involves both C Level and B Level duties, focusing on diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for commercial vehicles and trailers. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and regular attendance.

Requirements

  • 1-year experience (for C Level duties)
  • 2-years’ experience (for B Level duties)
  • Must be able to maneuver 100lbs with tooling
  • Ability to lift/move 50lbs independently
  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to agencies drug free workplace policies
  • Must have or be in the process of having NYS Inspectors License
  • Ability to perform federal inspections in compliance if 396.17 through 396.23 Appendix G
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance inspections on power unit and trailers
  • Lube, oil and filter on power units
  • Air brake component removal and installation
  • Routine electrical repairs
  • Tire removal and installation
  • Suspension component replacement I.E., airbags
  • Ability to perform routine bolt on component replacement, i.e.: alternator, starter, a/c compressor, air compressor, torque arms but not limited to these items
  • Ability to run torches, plasma and some minor welding required
  • Ability to perform minor hydraulic repairs, i.e.: hose replacement and valve replacement
  • Able to perform wheel end replacement and diagnostics
  • Anti-lock brake component replacement
  • Electronic diagnostic ECM controlled components I.E., sensors, Alt, starter
  • King pin replacement except international prostar 2013-2018
  • Minor fabrication cap abilities, steel, aluminum MIG welding
  • Wet kit installation
  • Hydraulic diagnostics and component replacement
  • Tire fault diagnostics and component replacement
  • Manifold, turbo removal and installation
  • All trailer diagnostics and repair
  • Gain an understanding of driver operations and work completed within their daily functions
