About The Position

Join the MV Transportation team at Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority in Donora, PA. We invest in our technicians with paid training, ASE certification support, CDL training, and annual tool and boot allowances. Now Hiring Experienced Mechanics. Work on modern transit and CNG-powered buses in a clean, professional shop environment. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, wheelchair lifts, and more, helping keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
2-3 years of automotive, diesel, fleet, or transit maintenance experience or equivalent training.
Experience with diesel systems and preventive maintenance.
Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance software.
Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

CNG experience preferred.
ASE Certifications highly preferred or willingness to participate in company-sponsored certification programs.
CDL with Passenger Endorsement preferred or ability to obtain through company-sponsored training during the probationary period.

Responsibilities

Perform PM inspections and repairs on transit and CNG vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
Complete work orders and maintenance records using the company's maintenance software.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure DOT, FTA, and company compliance.
Respond to road calls and assist with fleet reliability efforts.
Support parts inventory and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
