How you’ll shape the future of the Maintenance Department: Select the appropriate type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications. Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron and steel. Modify existing piping systems and machinery as needed using diagrams and plant-accepted procedures. Complete and maintain specification sheets, PM checklists, and other documentation as needed. Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders, using hand and power tools. Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutters, cutting torches, pipe-cutting machines, and other appropriate tools. Secure piping with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools. Perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes safety, quality, and production assurance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Pipefitter
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in various conditions and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
  • Proficient pipefitting knowledge and skills
  • Welding proficiency through TIG and SMAW testing on carbon and stainless steel
