About The Position

Enbridge is seeking a Mechanic III to maintain reliable gas delivery through a compressor station. The role involves ensuring the operation, compliance, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of station systems and equipment, including air and air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression, and prime movers. The Mechanic III recognizes and responds to abnormal conditions, completes equipment maintenance records accurately, and may direct other employees performing station maintenance. The position requires safe work practices, teamwork, and compliance with company procedures and external regulations, including PHMSA and EPA requirements, through adherence to SOPs and O&M manuals. The position is regular full-time and non-union. The employee must reside, or be willing to relocate, within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location. Work may involve physically demanding activities in varied weather, high-noise areas, and locations where vapors may be present. The employee must be available for overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call and standby duties, emergency calls 24 hours a day, and occasional travel beyond a set geography. Overnight travel of 10–25 days per year is required. Company-paid international relocation assistance is not offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of directly relevant training and experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call and standby duties, and overnight travel as required.
Reside or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.
Availability for emergency calls 24 hours a day.
Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including grasping, kneeling, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, and standing; meet visual and hearing requirements; and sit at a computer for long periods.
Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions; understand complex problems and collaborate on alternatives; organize ideas and prioritize work; make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit; follow instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms and basic reports; and communicate by telephone.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation, compliance, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of compressor-station systems and equipment necessary to maintain gas delivery.
Recognize and react to abnormal conditions associated with assigned duties.
Accurately and completely complete paperwork and reports related to station equipment maintenance.
Direct other employees in station equipment maintenance duties as required.
Work safely and responsibly and actively participate in safety-related programs.
Participate as a work-group team member and maintain cooperative working relationships with fellow employees.
Perform work in compliance with company policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements, including PHMSA and EPA requirements, by following SOPs and O&M manuals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
