About The Position

Every one of those units starts on a shop floor like ours, in the hands of mechanics who know that precision isn't optional. As a Mechanic III SR at our Odessa facility, you'll disassemble, rebuild, test, and finish moderate to highly complex equipment — work that demands real skill and rewards it in kind. This role is built for an experienced mechanic who reads engineering prints with confidence, sets up and runs tests to spec, and takes pride in handing off equipment that's ready to perform.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications
  • Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and other physical demands of the role
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver's license
  • Solid grasp of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read schematics
  • Mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently to engineering specs
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in operations or service center applications
  • Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex equipment
  • Use a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment to complete assembly, disassembly, and testing tasks
  • Interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications to guide your work
  • Set up and run test operations in line with engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Conduct risk assessments before operations and material movements, and follow all EHS policies
  • Keep your work area safe, clean, and organized
  • Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations
  • Complete required documentation and business training accurately and on time
