Perform basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic repair and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures, performing preventative maintenance, and utilizing welding, cutting, and soldering equipment. The position requires working in refrigerated areas with extreme temperatures and adhering to all GMP, food safety, and quality policies. The associate must also ensure compliance with food defense, food regulations, and product/process quality, provide coaching, record accurate documentation, and maintain good housekeeping. A high degree of judgment is necessary, including testing energized electrical equipment and pressurized hydraulic devices. Mechanics must also service equipment from elevated surfaces or ladders, with potential exposure to falls. The role requires moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 55 lbs, and involves repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility. The associate must be able to work in high noise areas, wear appropriate hearing protection, and possess adequate vision abilities. The role also involves exposure to cold/heat/humidity and the ability to work in a multi-shift environment.
