About The Position

The Mechanic II role involves hands-on work with high-stakes equipment, focusing on the disassembly, reassembly, and testing of natural gas compressor equipment. This position is crucial for ensuring the country's energy infrastructure runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be proficient with various tools, and be comfortable reading technical prints.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
Comfortable interpreting drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
Physically able to push, pull, bend, and stay active through a full shift.
Valid driver's license.
Solid basic math skills and the ability to read schematics.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as production requires.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience in operations or service center applications.
Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, reassemble, and test moderate to highly complex natural gas engine and compressor equipment.
Clean, inspect, and repair components using manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
Read detailed prints and engineering specs, and use micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators to verify work.
Set up and run test operations to confirm equipment meets spec before it ships.
Conduct risk assessments before operations and material movements.
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Keep work area safe, clean, and organized, and follow all EHS policies and regulations.
