Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. | Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose malfunctions | Adjusts, cleans and lubricates parts of mechanical devices as necessary | Requisitions replacement parts and equipment | Oversees contractors at supervisory/management level. Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process. Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with close supervision. Performs manual tasks according to established procedures.

Requirements

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Calibration
Mechanical Troubleshooting

Reading Blueprints/Diagrams

Safety Policies and Procedures
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Responsibilities

Maintains manufacturing equipment including conveyors, belts, engines, pumps, fans, etc. using hand and power tools.
Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment, as necessary.
Determines and performs required maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, aligning/adjusting parts, calibrating, etc.).
May also conduct periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage.
Oversees contractors at supervisory/management level.
