About The Position

The Mechanic II (Main Assembly) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of mechanical components within a manufacturing or production environment. This position focuses on assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems to meet quality and safety standards. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The Mechanic II will collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous process improvements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program in mechanical assembly or maintenance.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards such as ISO or Six Sigma.
  • Basic knowledge of welding, soldering, or other fabrication techniques.
  • Certification in mechanical maintenance or assembly-related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform routine and complex mechanical repairs and adjustments to ensure proper function and safety of assemblies.
  • Conduct quality inspections and functional tests on assembled products to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, collaborating with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes, repairs, and inspections to support traceability and continuous improvement.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
