About The Position

Future Infrastructure, a Primoris company has an immediate opening for a Field Mechanic in Creedmoor, TX. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of mechanical work performed on machinery and equipment, including accurate paperwork. The Field Mechanic will plan, organize, and prioritize repairs and maintenance to efficiently manage assigned work volumes and unexpected or emergency repairs. This includes performing oil changes and routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment, and performing ultimate repairs on various equipment such as small engines, and all types of diesel and gas engines. The role also involves welding, fabrication, and DOT certification of equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent with Trade School or Mechanical Background
DOT Certified
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Leadership and motivational skills
Basic knowledge of computers and Windows based software
English required

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring quality of mechanical work performed on machinery and equipment with accuracy of paperwork related to these items
Plan, organize and prioritize repairs and maintenance as needed to efficiently manage and coordinate assigned work volumes and unexpected or emergency repairs.
Perform oil changes and routine preventative maintenance on various equipment.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting of equipment along with performing ultimate repair of equipment.
Equipment to include, but not limited to small engine, all types of diesel and gas engines.
Welding and fabrication.
DOT Certification of equipment.
