About The Position

Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic I to join their Belle Glade Facility Maintenance Team. This role will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of their facility equipment. This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, timely completion of work orders, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and maintaining required parts and supplies. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, dependable, and will thrive working independently and within a structured team environment while being committed to supporting overall operational success.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Strong ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy.
Basic computer proficiency and ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also performing effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
English required
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull 50–80 lbs.
Repetitive bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Field and facility work required.
Travel to other locations may be required.
Must be able to pass a physical, drug test, criminal background check and have valid driver license.
The individual should have a great attitude and the ability to learn new things while keeping the interest of our company a priority.

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain reliability.
Execute and close assigned maintenance work orders accurately and within required timeframes.
Conduct daily safety/pre-operational inspections and immediately report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or acts.
Follow all safety rules, use required PPE, and comply with company, regulatory, food safety, GMP, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Ensure necessary spare parts and maintenance inventory are properly stocked, replenished, and available when needed.
Attend required training and safety meetings, follow company policies, maintain reliable attendance, and support other teams as needed.
Other duties as assigned including getting moved to another group or work team and shift starting time.
