About The Position

Responsible for maintaining all vehicles and heavy equipment and responding to mechanical needs in the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Possession of and ability to maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements and demonstrated safe driving record
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and/or power tools and variety of equipment in performance of duties
• Ability to work alone with minimum supervision, with others in a team environment, work rapidly for long periods and on several tasks at a time, often under time pressure
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen

• Practical knowledge of assigned Department equipment and vehicles

Responsibilities

• Maintaining all vehicles and heavy equipment
• Responding to mechanical needs in the field
• Responding to after-hours mechanical problems, per on call schedule
• Performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, and repairing equipment as needed
• Doing light snow removal
