This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing diesel-powered buses, performing general installation, repair, replacement, and adjustment of various vehicle components, and executing a prescribed preventative maintenance program on the bus fleet. The position also requires road testing vehicles after repairs, adhering to safe work practices, and maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies. Additionally, the Mechanic Helper is responsible for maintaining a clean work area and ensuring the upkeep of shop facilities and equipment.
