About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining property vehicles, tools, and equipment through preventative maintenance, including checking oil and tire pressure/wear. The role involves managing maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies, and maintaining daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities. The Mechanic-Grounds II will also track open maintenance issues, operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and inspect stock items for defects. Additionally, the role requires adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting of maintenance problems and hazards, and proper storage of flammable materials. The position also emphasizes maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent service, and developing positive working relationships. Key physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach overhead and below the knees, and move over various surfaces. The role also involves identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 1 year of related work experience.
No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain property vehicles, tools, and equipment, including checking oil, tire pressure/wear, and performing other preventative maintenance.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities.
Track the status of open maintenance issues using computer, log book, or white board.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, four-wheel carts and two-wheel dollies, dock plates, and roll-up doors.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
