About The Position

Austin Industrial provides premier self-perform maintenance, construction, and soft craft service to leading industrial companies across the U.S. An industry leader for more than 60 years, we offer single-source solutions to our customers in the oil, gas, chemical, food, agriculture, power, and manufacturing industries. This person will be working with site automotive. All around automotive mechanics work on motors, brakes, transmissions, preventive maintenance, tune ups, fluid changes and other issues involving automotive repair. Also deliver gasoline to site automotive. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
  • A Valid CDL-A with HAZMAT endorsements and TWIC Card.
  • 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
  • Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.
  • Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working at elevations, on uneven surfaces, or in confined spaces.
  • Employees must possess sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities.
  • Employees must be able to read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies; exercise sound judgment; solve problems; maintain attention to detail; effectively manage stress; and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
  • Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

  • Exhaust knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs skilled work such as engine performance diagnosis, troubleshoot and make needed repairs.
  • Repair or replace broken motors, brakes, transmissions.
  • Repair or replace broken AC.
  • Repair Body work.
  • Do tune ups fluid changes and other issues involving automotive repair.
  • Abide by the Company Policies such as attendance, safety, processes, teamwork, training, etc.
  • Repair and maintain park vehicle fleet.
  • Repair and maintain park generators.
  • Repair and maintain small engines on various park equipment.
  • Perform mechanical inspections and repairs to rides.
  • Transporting fuel and fueling equipment.
  • Work with other departments to complete other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to read scanners and understand codes for diagnosis.
  • Maintain equipment and tolls in good condition.
  • Transport and deliver gasoline to assigned accounts on daily route.
  • Respond to spills and environmental releases according to company emergency response plane and EPA guidelines.
  • Communicate delivery exceptions, product shortages, and equipment issues to dispatch and terminal management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
