About The Position

Performs journey level maintenance and repairs to automotive, emergency, and road maintenance vehicles and equipment. Provides metal fabrication for shop fabricated items and may serve as back-up for bridge welding.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of the equivalent GED.
  • Four years of journey level experience in the repair, modification, and maintenance of light and heavy equipment and vehicles; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
  • Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license upon appointment.
  • Must be able to obtain an Oregon CDL within 6 months of employment.
  • Must possess own hand tools suitable for work performed.
  • Must possess and maintain current AWS Welding D1.5 certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs journey level maintenance and repairs to automotive, emergency, and road maintenance vehicles and equipment.
  • Provides metal fabrication for shop fabricated items.
  • May serve as back-up for bridge welding.
