Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (Class 5 minimum, class 1 preferred)
  • Clear driver’s abstract that meets Purolator’s insurance requirements.
  • Must be able to perform annual safeties (CVIP)
  • Must successfully pass road test(s)
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
  • Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
  • Valid “AZ/Class 1” class driver's license with a clear driver’s abstract that meets Purolator’s insurance requirements.
  • 3 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Diesel mechanic required
  • Troubleshoot Mechanical And Collision Repairs
  • Service Reports and Logs Maintenance
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
  • Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
  • Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
  • Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers
