About The Position
Drexel University's Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Union Plumber / Multi-skilled Maintenance employee. This role involves responding to service calls for general building maintenance campus-wide, including work in classrooms, restrooms, residence halls, athletic facilities, and outdoor areas. Tasks may include repairs to doors, windows, roofs, electrical systems, plumbing, furnishings, locks, and safety equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in maintenance work.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to perform with minimum supervision and take initiative.
- Journeyman-level skills and license.
Nice To Haves
- Master level skills and license.
- A backflow certificate.
Responsibilities
- Clear and unclog drains, and repair leaks.
- Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide.
- Perform work in classrooms, restrooms, residence halls, athletic facilities, and outdoor areas.
- Address repair requests for doors, windows, roofs, electrical, plumbing, furnishings, locks, safety protection, and other items as required.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
