About The Position

Will be responsible for performing the required mechanical duties in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all company programs, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Two years’ applicable experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing gas and diesel vehicles Required
• Must have a working knowledge of automobiles
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Current Tennessee Required

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from an accredited automotive training program Preferred
• Class B CDL License with a P endorsement within 1 Year Preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with policies
• Execute repairs to specifications
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Communicate directly with the Supervisor if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Keeps work area free of discarded parts, coolants and lubricants to ensure a safe working area, and to adheres to OSHA and shop regulations.
• May be required to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle upholstery
• May be required to provide transportation services, including fuel and washing, for district vehicles.
• May be required to provide towing services to district vehicles
