About The Position

The Auto Services Technician is responsible for all fluid services including oil change, transmission, differential, cooling system, brake fluid maintenance, tire repair, tire replacement, wiper blades and filter replacement as well as additional services as directed by the Shop Manager or Assistant Shop Manager. He/she is responsible for greeting and communicating with customers, educating them on necessary preventive vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Clean and neat appearance
Valid state driver's license
ASE level 3 or higher Certified are required
Customer service skills
Basic literacy (reading, writing, math skills)
Ability to operate computer
Ability and licensed to operate motor vehicles
Verbal communication skills
Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Performing upper bay and lower bay oil change and inspection functions
Performing tire repair, tire replacement and tire rotation
Greeting customers as they arrive, assist and gives recommendations of proper services as needed
Explaining SpeeDee programs, services and pricing structure in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and increased revenues
Attending training sessions that are applicable to the career path and position requirements
Performing preventive maintenance on fluid services equipment
Communicating with customers on update of the vehicle and give recommendations of service/s need/s
Following appropriate safety procedures and notifying the Shop Manager of safety hazards or equipment repairs needed
General center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows and clearing litter, etc.
Attending crew meetings as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.
