The Mechanic Apprentice role is with Alaska Gold Company, LLC BSNC Regional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation. The Mechanic Apprentice will be based in Nome, AK, and will learn to perform routine preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues under supervision, inspect equipment, and assist with repairs. The position involves hands-on training to develop proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques, aiming for journeyman-level competency. Responsibilities include maintaining records, ensuring a safe working environment, responding to service calls, assisting with parts inventory, and communicating effectively with team members. The role also requires participation in on-the-job training and classroom instruction as part of an apprenticeship program, and adherence to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements. This is a DOT covered/safety-sensitive role.
