As a Mechanic Level 1, you'll perform a variety of maintenance and repair services that help keep our customers safely on the road. This role is ideal for technicians with a solid foundation in automotive repair who are ready to continue developing their skills alongside an experienced team. You'll perform repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance while building your diagnostic abilities and advancing your career.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
  • Willingness to pursue ASE certifications with company support.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, charging systems, and basic engine maintenance.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform automotive repair work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to continue learning as vehicle technology evolves.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical automotive training preferred.
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace brake system components.
  • Service hydraulic, disc, drum, and parking brake systems.
  • Evaluate brake wear and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Ensure safe and reliable brake system performance.
  • Inspect steering and suspension components for wear or damage.
  • Diagnose and repair shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, steering racks, and related components.
  • Perform wheel alignments and steering adjustments.
  • Ensure proper vehicle handling, ride quality, and stability.
  • Diagnose and repair charging system concerns.
  • Test and replace batteries, alternators, and voltage regulators.
  • Perform basic electrical diagnostics using scan tools and testing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot common electrical issues and restore proper system operation.
  • Perform tune-ups and preventative maintenance services.
  • Replace spark plugs, ignition components, air filters, fuel filters, belts, and hoses.
  • Inspect cooling system components and identify leaks or performance concerns.
  • Assist with diagnosing common engine performance issues.
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Clearly communicate repair recommendations with service advisors and customers.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
  • Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Safely lift and support vehicles using proper equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain shop equipment and specialty tools.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
