About The Position

Riggers specialize in moving jobs that cannot be accomplished by ordinary means. They use equipment expressly designed to move and lift objects weighing hundreds of thousands of pounds in places where ordinary material-handling equipment cannot go. Because rigging is highly specialized, the work is learned through on-the-job training. Riggers must work together as a cohesive team and build trust because of the potentially dangerous nature of the work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years of additional education and/or related experience; or graduation from an apprenticeship program or an associate's degree in a relevant discipline and three years of related experience.
• May require certification.
