About The Position
The Meat Wrapper is responsible for weighing, wrapping, and pricing meats and related products. This role involves portioning and presenting products with high standards, displaying them in cases as directed, and managing inventory of wrapping materials and labels. The position also includes maintaining equipment, communicating any temperature failures, ensuring good housekeeping of work, display, and storage areas, providing prompt and courteous customer service, following company policies, and adhering to health regulations and safe food handling procedures.
Requirements
- Minimal computer skills or minimal knowledge of computerized digital scales.
Responsibilities
- Weigh, wrap and price meats and related products
- Portion and place products on designated trays with the highest standards of presentation
- Display product in cases as directed by manager
- Keep track of the need for wrapping materials, labels, etc.
- Maintain equipment. Communicate temperature failure of cases to manager.
- Maintain good housekeeping of work, display and storage areas.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
- Follow all company policies
- Observe all state health regulations and all safe food handling procedures
