This is a part-time position in the meat department. Full weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) is required. The pay rate is $14.50/hr. As a Food Clerk, you will provide customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude, playing a vital role in keeping the store running smoothly and having a positive impact on the community.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Pull and stock live load and backstock, including in coolers and freezers; replenish the salesfloor as needed and prior to afternoon drive time.
Maintain merchandise and presentation for all products within the department scope, review merchandise for short-dated and outdated products and execute markdowns and throwaways.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain the organization of all equipment.
Make regular temperature checks and Smart Sense checks for coolers and freezers.
Build rapport with customers, both within the department and at the service counters.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
