The Meat Service Counter Clerk role involves providing premium quality and personal service at the meat and seafood counter, which is a destination for guests seeking special items like Certified Angus Beef® and sustainable fresh seafood. The clerk will assist guests in making confident, informed choices for meals and celebrations. The position requires delivering premium service, restocking and rotating product, and ensuring a clean, well-organized department. Responsibilities include maintaining food safety practices and fulfilling custom orders, playing a hands-on role in creating a trusted, welcoming space for guests.

Requirements

  • 16+ required.
  • A guest-first mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safe food handling, basic inventory practices, and common department equipment (slicers, trash compactors, etc.).
  • Attention to detail in labeling, temperature control, and cleanliness.
  • A team-focused attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests at the meat & seafood counter and on the sales floor by answering questions, recommending cuts, and fulfilling special orders.
  • Maintain product quality and freshness by inspecting, rotating, labeling, and replenishing all meat and seafood items on display.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
