At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Meat & Seafood Manager is responsible for the sales and operation of the Meat & Seafood Department. This role involves planning, ordering, and preparing cutting lists, as well as processing meat according to department goals and standards to maximize sales and gross profit. The manager ensures correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and displays. They are also responsible for engaging and evaluating team members through coaching, feedback, and development discussions, and making recommendations on merit increases. The role requires regular attendance and participation in in-store meetings, and collaboration with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, and promotion/transfer decisions. The manager must exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns and take corrective actions when needed, including managing performance through coaching, counseling, progressive discipline, suspension, or termination. Ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels is key. The manager communicates standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members and leads a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest customer experience. Additionally, the role may involve serving as a Key Carrier for the store and/or acting as a Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed.
