About The Position

This position performs key operational duties across both the Meat and Seafood departments. Major responsibilities include serving customers, preparing and displaying fresh products, and maintaining strict safety and sanitation standards. Training will be provided at store level.

Requirements

• 18 yrs+ to apply
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, attentive service; offer product samples; suggestively sell items; and provide proper cooking instructions (including cooking, frying, and steaming seafood products upon request).
• Wrap, label, price, and stock meat and seafood items; prepare party trays and specialty seafood; handle live seafood safely.
• Receive shipments from the warehouse; stock, straighten, and rotate products in cases, coolers, and freezers; read and understand shelf tags.
• Monitor temperature controls for coolers, freezers, and prep areas; clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, display cases, and backrooms; safely pull products for proper storage at closing.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and adhere to all company safety, equipment, and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other store management duties as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
