It also includes conducting daily inspections to ensure compliance with quality, trimming, grinding, rotation, sanitation, safety, and security requirements. The manager is responsible for ordering, checking, receiving, and controlling inventory, as well as maintaining department records and organization. They must ensure proper merchandising, comply with labeling laws and regulations, and monitor competitor pricing and product variety. The role also involves handling customer relations, taking special orders, making product suggestions, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the department and equipment. The Meat Manager is responsible for training associates, monitoring their performance, and maintaining confidentiality. This is a safety-sensitive position.
