This role provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service within the Meat and/or Seafood Department. Responsibilities include wrapping, trimming, stocking cases, and receiving merchandise. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, possess a growth mindset, and be results-oriented.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old.
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables.
Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording.
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
High School or equivalent experience.
Food safety training.
Six months or less of similar or related work experience.
Ability to exert up to 85 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 40 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
Wraps, weighs, and labels product.
Reviews food for freshness, stocks cases, and rotates product.
Trims steaks, roasts, and chops for retail cuts and prepares seafood for display.
Maintains sanitation procedures and ensures a clean and neat work area.
Replenishes and organizes coolers.
Reports out-of-stock products.
Trays, slices, tenderizes, and grinds product.
Removes trash in a timely manner.
Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Prepares signs for the department.
Orders replenishment merchandise as directed by management.
Assists in other areas of the store as needed.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
