Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting meats and deli products, providing recommendations and answering questions about cuts, preparation methods, and serving sizes.
  • Stock shelves and displays with meat and deli products, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
  • Assist with inventory counts and restocking activities to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the meat and deli department, including cleaning surfaces, and display cases.
  • Receive, inspect, and store meat and deli deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the safe handling and storage of meat and deli products.
  • Notify the department managers when inventory levels are too high or too low and understand the reasoning behind the difference.
  • Operate meat and deli equipment, such as slicers and scales, safely and efficiently if necessary.
