Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cut meats according to customer specifications, including portioning, trimming, and slicing with high quality and presentation.
  • Operate meat processing equipment such as slicers, grinders, and saws, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the meat department, including cleaning equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Assist customers in selecting meats, providing recommendations and answering questions about cuts, preparation methods, and cooking tips.
  • Receive, inspect, and store meat deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking meats as needed.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the safe handling and storage of meats.
  • Collaborate with department managers and team members to achieve department goals and objectives.
