About The Position
Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is a 100% employee-owned grocery chain with 10 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin, recognized as a "Top Workplace" by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for several years. The Meat Cutter is responsible for unpacking, cutting, trimming, packaging, grinding, and processing meats, as well as serving customers and maintaining sanitation standards within the meat department. The role requires effective customer interaction and adherence to all department and health regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in meat cutting operations or willingness to complete the Fox Bros. apprenticeship.
- Ability to work with meat and fish products.
- Ability to meet and maintain personal and department health and sanitary practices to protect public from exposure/contamination of product handled/processed within established State Health Regulations/Mandates.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work in a physical environment with continuous exposure to cold, damp, and wet conditions.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Unpack, cut, trim, package, grind, and process meats.
- Wait on customers and provide effective service.
- Sanitize equipment and the department as required.
- Receive, process, package, and display department products per requirements.
- Operate department equipment safely and efficiently.
