About The Position

As a Meat Cutter at Meijer, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. You will follow the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts, process meat products, and fulfill special customer requests. Additionally, you will ensure market and seafood cases are kept full and fresh with prepackaged meats, and promote excellent customer service. This role requires you to be 18 years of age or older. Previous experience as a Meat Cutter is a plus. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Current or previous experience as a Meat Cutter is a plus.
Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
Experience in product presentation and packaging.
Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
Current handjack/hilo license.
Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities
