As a Meat Clerk, you'll help prepare and package quality meat products, assist customers, and keep the meat department clean, organized, and fully stocked in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old due to equipment and work restrictions
Basic knowledge of meat cuts, food safety, and sanitation practices
Ability to safely operate meat cutting and packaging equipment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

Previous meat department, food handling, grocery, retail, or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, and label meat products according to store standards
Stock, organize, and rotate meat department inventory
Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
Monitor product freshness, quality, and appearance
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout the department
Operate meat cutting, packaging, and department equipment safely
Assist with inventory management and waste reduction efforts
Set up displays, promotions, and merchandising presentations
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and food handling standards
Support department operations and perform other duties as assigned
