Requirements

  • Ability to operate meat department equipment safely.
  • Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Listening and following through with assigned tasks.
  • Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous.

  • Ability to handle meat department equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in selecting, weighing, and packaging meat products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming meat products within the department and deli wall, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide information about various meat cuts and products.
  • Operate and maintain meat department equipment, such as scales and slicers.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
