About The Position

Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Meat Clerk - #44 Lynwood! This role involves providing friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. You will assist customers, clean shelves and display cases, and clean, fill, and rotate the Meat Wrap displays. You will also work with customers to take special orders and collaborate with the Meat Cutter to identify items needing to be cut. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling and serving food.
• Visual and auditory requirements.
